MAKING A FRINGE FOR YOUR RUG
(Thanks to Deb Valko for these Instructions)

Using a skein of yarn in a compatible color and thickness to the latch hook yarn you have used, cut it into lengths double the length of what you wish your fringe to be. (I would suggest cutting it even longer, you can always trim it later!)
For 3.75/3.3 mesh canvas use 3 pieces per hole, for 5 mesh canvas use 2 pieces Using your latch hook pull the threads through the hole and complete the knot as per normal latchhooking.
When finished hooking all the fringe, evenly trim it to the length you wish

Work a normal fringe as above but only use every second hole, then follow this diagram

Braided Fringe

Use 3 pieces of yarn per hole and just pull through without making a knot. When you get 3 holes done, braid the yarn from the 3 holes together. To knot the end of the braid , take 3 pieces of yarn from 1 hole and wrap around the other two yarn bundles and then pull through itself on the back. (You may like to experiment and work out a better knot!) When you have finished all the braids trim evenly
